cPanel, the most popular server and website management platform, has announced the launch of the Manage Team feature. This feature has been requested for some time, and the company is now rolling it out as a ‘beta feature’.
Creating and managing team users
The Team Management interface allows system administrators to create and manage team users who can assist with the management of domains, email accounts and databases. The interface consists of the following menus:
- Managing team account quota status
- Creating the Team user interface
- List of team members
- Interface for viewing audit logs
The ‘Manage Team Account Quota Status’ interface shows the system administrator the total number of team users that can be created, as well as the existing team users. These teams can have a maximum of 7 team users, a number which root users can reduce by editing the packages.
The ‘List of team users’ interface displays detailed information about team users, such as account, team and security details, and allows the system administrator to edit, suspend or delete them. However, due to cPanel being in beta, the option to edit team users is not available.
The ‘Audit log’ interface allows system administrators to view and monitor the actions of users within their team who are using the API.
Available only with Premier licences
The Team Management feature is now available on a trial basis for cPanel 108. However, it is currently only available to Premier licence holders. Team Management will be available to all users in future releases.
This feature will soon be available in the cPanel services provided by aWh too!
