NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express) is a data storage technology that provides a high-speed interface for drives connected to the PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express) bus. It offers numerous advantages over traditional SSD (Solid State Drive) and HDD (Hard Disk Drive) drives.
NVMe drives are capable of significantly higher data transfer speeds: they can be up to ten times faster than SATA SSDs when transferring data, and read and write up to 25 times faster than traditional hard disk drives. Their latency is also much lower, which further enhances the efficiency of data transfer.
NVMe drives are generally more expensive, so they do not always offer the best value for money, but they are clearly faster and more efficient than SSDs and hard disk drives. We have opted for this faster solution for our cPanel hosting plans.

What sort of web hosting do I need?
For a brand-new website, our smallest plan is usually more than enough to get you started. You can always upgrade later and switch to any of our larger plans once you’ve outgrown the starter plan.
What is the difference between the various plans?
Our cPanel hosting plans are essentially similar. The main differences lie in the storage, the amount of resources (CPU, RAM, IO) and the number of additional domains you can add to them: the larger the plan, the more you can add. Some advanced features, such as SSH access and Git, are only available from the Premium plan upwards.
How do I get started?
You can order your new hosting plan via our website. cPanel hosting requires at least one domain name; this can be an existing domain, or you can register a new one straight away.
What protection is there against hackers?
The services running on our servers are protected against DDoS attacks; in addition, we use ModSecurity to block malicious attempts and regularly scan files for viruses and malware.
What about backups?
Data is our top priority, which is why we use a multi-tier backup solution: we store backups in geographically separate locations and in a variety of formats. What’s more, you can manage the backups yourself using JetBackup.
What is the difference between an additional domain, a parked domain and a subdomain?
An add-on domain is a completely independent website with its own domain name, hosted on the same hosting server, with its own directory and email addresses. A parked domain displays the same website as the main domain; for example, if you wish to redirect both cegnev.com and cegnev.hu to the same page. The subdomain is also a part of the domain, such as blog.cegnev.hu, which you can direct to a separate folder. You can create an unlimited number of subdomains and databases in every plan; the number of add-on and parked domains is shown in the plan comparison.
