How does domain transfer work? What is the EPP code?

No, the domain can only be registered for a specific period, typically between one and ten years. As long as you complete the renewal process regularly, the domain will remain yours.

Can I buy my domain name permanently?

For most domain extensions, the domain is not deleted immediately: after it expires, there is a grace period followed by a redemption period, during which it can still be renewed, but the website and email service will not be operational until then.
