.wales is the country code extension for Wales, which has been available for registration since 2015. Its sister extension is the Welsh-language .cymru; both are operated by the British organisation Nominet, which also manages the .uk extension.
It provides a clear local connection for Welsh businesses, tourism providers, events, sports teams and cultural organisations. The extension is open to anyone, so it can be used by anyone whose project is linked to Wales.
