The .asia domain extension was launched in 2007 and is managed by the Hong Kong-based non-profit organisation DotAsia Organisation. It was created as a shared domain extension for the Asia-Pacific region, home to more than half of the world’s internet users.
It’s worth choosing this option if your product or service is aimed at several Asian countries and you don’t want to register a separate country-code extension for each market. It is popular amongst travel agencies, retailers, manufacturers and content creators specialising in the region.

Prices are quoted for one year and do not include VAT. The free transfer does not include a renewal; the fee for the paid transfer usually includes a one-year renewal. For extensions marked ‘Special Offer’, the registration fee is at a discounted rate; renewals are charged at the rates shown in the table.

New domain registration
The registration of .asia domains is an automated process, so registration is virtually instantaneous; you can start using your new domain name within a few minutes of placing your order.
Domain transfer
To transfer your existing .asia domain name to us, you will need to disable transfer protection with your current registrar and obtain the authorisation (Auth) code for the domain. The transfer process may take up to 5 days.
How many characters can it be?
The domain name extension in .asia must be at least 1 character long and no more than 63 characters long.
Special characters
With the .asia domain extension, special (accented) characters cannot be used in the domain name.
Restrictions
