New domain registration

Registrations for .bg domains are processed by the registry manually; therefore, registration typically takes 3 days following the order.

Domain transfer

To transfer a .bg domain, the domain owner must sign a transfer request, which we will send by email once the order has been placed. As this is processed manually, the process may take several days.

How many characters can it be?

The domain name extension in .bg must be at least 3 and no more than 63 characters long.

Special characters

With the .bg domain extension, special (accented) characters cannot be used in the domain name.

Restrictions

A .bg domain name may be registered by any individual or legal entity who has their place of residence or registered office in Bulgaria or in one of the Member States of the European Union. To register, the owner’s identification details and – in the case of companies – their VAT number are required.
