.berlin is Berlin’s own domain extension. In 2014, it became the first city-specific domain extension to be made available to the general public; the registry is managed by dotBERLIN GmbH.
It gives Berlin-based businesses, restaurants, hotels, start-ups, galleries and events a clear local connection. A domain name ending in the city’s name immediately tells visitors where you’re based, and it’s easier to find a short, descriptive name under this extension than under the .de extension.
